Dear Reader,
What does fashion mean to you? The vast majority of people tend to associate fashion with a sense of identity, the carving out of who one really is, and ultimately the feelings experienced when we believe such an identity has been established and made clear to others. For a long time fashion has mainly been attributed to the female world, and while one cannot deny that women's fashion has long dominated the industry, it is quite lovely to see that recently men's fashion has begun to truly take shape and establish itself right alongside it's counterpart in a perfectly respectable manner. Now there is no doubt that the trends come and go, and with it the attitudes they spawn, but one cannot deny that there is a particular set of styles that many would deem as "classic" that just seem to remain no matter how turbulent the winds of change in the industry can be. So it is with this in mind that we delve into the world of the styles that are usually associated with the way a gentleman is "expected" to dress. Now what are your thoughts on such a matter? How should a true gentleman dress? Is there a set cookie cutter style that clearly identifies a "classic gentleman"? Or is a certain level of risk associated with the many trends around us, acceptable to make slight appearances in a gentleman's wardrobe? Well once again the opening question is left up for you to answer, what does fashion mean to you? Whatever your answer, this blog will focus on what it means to me (I would like to think of myself as a gentleman), and who knows maybe these diaries will speak to you or at least prove to be an entertaining read while you sip your coffee, dissolving the perfect heart shaped art the foam formed, while taking breaks from analyzing your offshore accounts in the Caiman Islands or Switzerland for all I know, I am not judging.
Yours Truly,
S. E. Vega
